Sony Ericsson's new C905 Cyber-shot mobile handset seems more camera than phone

New Delhi: Sony Ericsson is has introduced its new C905 Cyber-shot, aimed at shutterbugs with an enticing invitation to capture memories at a moments notice 24/7.

And, the company seems to be promoting it as more of a camera than a mobile handset, going by the press release - perhaps in response to the camera option in almost all handsets having enticed users across the board to become instant photographers.

Sony Ericsson's new C905 Cyber-shot slider phone has features including an 8.1MP camera, Xenon flash and unique sliding lens mechanism, enabling users to capture spontaneous moments in life – from their baby's first steps to a romantic shot of the sunset.

''Experience the pleasure of capturing magical moments with a real digital camera in a unique sliding C905 cyber-shot phone,'' says Sudhin Mathur, general manager, Sony Ericsson, introducing the C905.

Available in two colours, night black and ice silver this stylish phone looks, feels and acts like a real camera. Perfect for those dedicated to fashion as it provides face detection auto-focus, smart contrast and image stabiliser and a 2.4-inch scratch-resistant display to view images before clicking.

The C905 is Sony Ericsson's first cyber-shot dual front slider - stylish, easy to use and in a pocket-sized slim design. It is said to offer the complete digital camera experience in a phone thanks to its 8.1-mega pixel camera with Xenon flash and unique sliding lens mechanism.

It is a handset packed with features and an array of add on accessories like a 2GB Memory Stick Micro and CCR-70 USB adapter to transfer photos to-and-from computers. The photos can be saved to the phone's memory card, and later removed and popped into the CCR-70 USB adapter.

Then slot the card reader into a PC or laptop and drag your photos over. Delete from your memory stick and you're ready to go and fill up again with more photo memories.

The images cvan be wirelessly  sent from the handset to the TV via Wi-Fi or connected with wires using the TV-Out Cable ITC-60. It is also GPS-enabled for geo-tagging of photos and navigation support.
