Kanishk Steel improves top and bottom line

Chennai: The Chennai-based Kanishk Steel Industries Ltd, which manufactures TMT and structural steel items (joists, channels, angles, flats, squares and rounds) has closed the first nine months with a sales of Rs191 crore and a net profit of Rs5.44 crore.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2005, Kanishk Steel has reported a turnover of Rs74.11 crore and an after tax profit of Rs1.95 crore.
Talking
about the future plans for the company, Arvind Gupta,
president,
said, "For the forthcoming quarter, we are looking
at an investment of Rs15 crores to set up a 3mw wind energy
project for the company."
