Fairfield Atlas is now a part of Saurer AG

Fairfield Atlas Ltd, formerly Atlas Gears Ltd, has informed the stock exchanges that its parent, the US-based Fairfield Manufacturing Company, Inc, subsequent to corporate restructuring will now be part of Saurer AG.

The Switzerland-based, Saurer is a global leader in textile machinery and power transmission solutions with over $1.8 billion in annual revenues and 8,800 employees world-wide.

Fairfield will become part of Saurer's transmission systems segment, which also includes Graziano Trasmissioni, a global leader in the manufacture of gears, axles, transmissions, and complete drive line solutions for the on / off-highway markets.

Graziano and Saurer provide a platform for Fairfield to further penetrate the European market. In addition to the synergies that are created in Europe and North America, the combined business will be in a stronger position to further exploit market opportunities and production bases in China and India.
