Restructuring seems to the domain of young Karthik Menon, director of Sical Logistics. He headed the restructuring division at the HFCL group between September 2000 and November 2002. Prior to that, Menon was the team leader for operational synergy there. Later, till October 2005, he was in the US as a business strategy consultant at Global Identity Solutions, New York.
Joining the Sical group in October 2005 as vice president (Finance & Strategy) in the vice chairman's office, Menon helped in charting the logistics major's restructuring exercise. In April 2007, Menon was inducted on Sical's board, with responsibilities for new business initiatives, planning, strategy, fund raising and structuring in-house investment banking. The smart looking Menon is a BCom graduate from Bishop Heber College, Trichy, and holds a master's degree in Management, specialising in marketing and financial services, from the Rizvi Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University.
