Tulip bags Madhya Pradesh State e-governance project for Rs 95 crore

Mumbai: Tulip Telecom Limited (Tulip), a leading data telecom service provider, today announced that it has bagged the Rs95 crore Madhya Pradesh State Wide Area Network Project.

Tulip will deploy, manage and operate the entire network for a period of five years on the build own operate & transfer (BOOT) model. The agreement was signed between MP State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd and Tulip.

The scope of the project includes supply and installation of network equipment across the state, as well as operation and maintenance of the project for the entire period of five years.

The network supports data, voice and video, and will enable the state to implement various e-governance initiatives. The project will help Madhya Pradesh strengthen its position under the national e-governance plan of government of India.

The project will be a total IP network based on open standards having scalability and high capacity. It is planned to meet the present and future requirements of the government of Madhya Pradesh. On completion, the state is will implement integrated solutions such as common citizen services, online monitoring of performance of various promotional schemes, integration of data bases of various government departments, unified communication, etc.
