Tulip gets LoI for NLD, ILD services

Mumbai: Tulip IT Services Ltd has received a letter of intent (LoI) from the department of telecom (DoT) for NLD and ILD (national long distance and international long distance) licences. The LoI is based on the new guidelines laid down by DoT, which require all IP / VPN service providers to migrate to the NLD licence.
These licences will enable Tulip to offer international data connectivity solutions to customers across the world through voice, data and video traffic and open vast business opportunities for the company. The company will also he able to tap business from high-end services in the burgeoning VPN (Virtual Private Network) bandwidth market.
"Tulip has come a long way since its inception. Till now we were operating on the virtual private network licence but have now been provided the letter of intent for the NLD / ILD licence. This licencse opens a host of business opportunities for the company and Tulip is appropriately positioned to leverage these opportunities," said H S Bedi, managing director of the company.
"Tulip has always aimed to create a leadership position in the data connectivity market, this LoI will help the company to continue being at the forefront of the growing connectivity market," he added.
