Ola poaches Joy Bhandarkar from Flipkart for new initiatives

Ola, India's leading mobile app for personal transportation or taxi aggregator service, has announced the appointment of Flipkart's Joy Bandekar as corporate president to lead new initiatives.
Bhandarkar brings over 20 years of experience across various industries, including 10 years in ecommerce across India and South East Asia. Joy will be part of Ola's core leadership team, focusing on new initiatives for the company.
Joy joins Ola from ecommerce major Flipkart where he was most recently working with the designation of corporate president. With a Masters in business management and a degree in mechanical engineering, Joy has worked with large Indian and multinational organizations like Kirloskar, Reliance Industries, Maxworth Orchards and Atcom Technologies in his career spanning over 20 years.
He is a seasoned hand in the internet industry, having spent the last ten years in various roles, with organisations like eBay Inc and Flipkart.
