John Sculley inaugurates India's first online tyre store in Gurgaon

India's first online Tyre store was inaugurated in Gurgaon by former Pepsi and Apple CEO, John Sculley, who is now managing partner of Inflexionpoint Acquisition Corporation.

The online store, changemytyre.com, will sell tyres online with deliveries across all major cities in India. Currently starting with passenger car radials the company plans to add tyre from other categories and sell accessories like alloy wheels, etc, in coming months.
While speaking at the inauguration Sculley lauded online store's team for being the first ones to bring to India a concept, which has gained popularity overseas where increasingly people are buying tyres online.
Neeraj Chauhan, CEO and co-founder of changemytyre.com, reiterated that ChangeMyTyre.com has been established with the objective of to tyre buying process in India. As per him
"Today a consumer has a wide choice of tyres to choose from but ends up buying a tyre, which a dealer wants to sell," says Neeraj Chauhan, CEO and co-founder of the the online store. He said the site was launched to correct this by bringing choice, transparency and convenience to buyers.
Starting with NCR the company is rolling out a network of fitment centres where the customers can go and get tyres professionally fitted. It currently has eight fitment centres in NCR, which it plans to raise to 40 centres in seven cities in next three months.
