Datawind launches new budget tablet Ubislate i3G7

Datawind has launched its new budget dual-SIM voice calling tablet Ubislate i3G7 priced Rs 5,999. The device is being offered at a discounted price of Rs4,444 at Gadgets360 in single Black coloured variant.
With the purchase of the device, users would get a free one-year internet subscription via Reliance Communications. All they had to do as to open the UbiSurfer Internet browser app on the device and visit the registration portal where they would need to fill up a short registration form. The free data plan from Reliance comes with access to all websites, audio or video streaming, and local downloads.
The highlighting feature of the tablet was its Intel SoC at the price point. It comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core Intel processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device featured the gadget with 8GB of internal flash memory that is capable of being expanded up to 32GB by using a microSD card.
Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the handset has a 7-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels and a 0.3-Mp user-facing camera. It was backed up with a 2-megapixel primary rear camera and measured 188x107x9.8mm and weighed 278 grams.
In addition to the regular voice calling functionality, the device with 1.2 GHz Intel Quad Core X3 64 bit processor incorporates DataWind's breakthrough Internet-delivery platform covered by 18 US and international patents allowing the devices to deliver the fastest mobile web experience on regular GSM-EDGE-based (or 2G) networks.
The technology reduces bandwidth consumption by up to 97 per cent, allowing the delivery of web pages across even congested 2G networks in 5 to 7 seconds and delivered even faster speeds on 3G and 4G networks.
The tablet incorporates the latest software offering seamless and enhanced user experience.
