For women in distress help is now just a click away!

Chennai-based KritiLabs has developed a new smartphonbe application to track people's movement on a real time basis so that help can be reached immediately on a call or SMS from the person concerned.
The new free application, `SafeTrac,' allows parents or relatives to track real-time movement of persons from home, either on a Google map-enabled handset or on the internet.
The mobile application can be put to use in cases of emergency – when a person holding the handset is in distress or feels unsafe or threatened, a Business Line report said today.
The person can click the 'Emergency' button in the application, which will immediately send an SMS and e-mail alerts to the emergency contacts registered by the user.
Since the person in distress is already being tracked, the contact person or persons would be able to rush help immediately to the caller on an emergency basis.
KritiLabs, which provides comprehensive solutions like end-user alerts and notifications, automated speed tracking, customisable alerts, detailed reports for planning and optimisation and user management, has developed `SafeTrack' as a social initiative in the aftermath of last month's rape incident in Delhi.
