Informatica Corp to buy Germany’s Heiler Software

Informatica Corp, a US-based data-integration software maker co-founded by Gaurav Dhillon, today offered to acquire Germany-based Heiler Software AG for about €80.8 million ($103.9 million).
Founded in 1987 and based in Stuttgart, Heiler is a provider of enterprise product information management (PIM) and master data management (MDM) solutions.
Its software enables retailers, distributors, and manufacturers to manage all of their product information across all channels and data sources and improves operational efficiency with deep data integration, data management, and data governance.
Heiler has offices in Stuttgart, Detroit, Toronto, and Sydney and employs around 140 people.
California-based Informatica is offering €7.04 per share in cash, representing a premium of approximately 147 per cent to Heiler closing price on 28 September.
Informatica said that it has received irrevocable undertakings from Heiler's key shareholders representing approximately 71.6 per cent stake.
