Katrina Kaif web searches most risky, Shah Rukh Khan least: McAfee study

The chances a surfer being led to malicious websites are the highest while surfing for actress Katrina Kaif, making the British Indian actress and former model the most dangerous celebrity in the Indian cyberspace.

The risk percentile while searching for Katrina Kaif is 10.26 per cent, making her the most dangerous celebrity to be searched on the web, while actress Deepika Padukone (10 per cent) of Om shanti Om and Love Aaj kal ranks next, according to a report by internet security firm McAfee.

However, Shah Rukh Khan with risk percentile of 6 per cent is the least dangerous celebrity to be searched on the web.

Kareena Kapoor, the winner of six filmfare awards, is the third most-dangerous celebrity, with a 9.8 per cent risk percentile of users fall into a trap of malware laden sites.

"In a celebrity-crazy country such as India, cyber criminals find it very lucrative to use the names of popular figures as keywords to lure people to websites with malicious software, "McAfee India senior director Venkatasubrahmanyam Krishnapur said.

"This year's study found movie stars top the ''most dangerous'' list, while sports stars and politicians are among the safest.''

The risk percentile while searching for Saif Ali Khan is 8.24 per cent, 8.07 per cent in case of India's heart throb John Abraham and 8 per cent for Priyanka Chopra.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the seventh most dangerous celebrity to be searched over the web, while Bipasha Basu is in the 8th position with a 7.82 per cent percentile and Aamir Khan ranks ninth with a risk percentile of 7.65 per cent.
