LulzSec the computer hackers group that was recently in the news over hacking of Sony sites has struck again. Its target this time was the website of the The Sun newspaper owned by media baron rupert Murdoch's News International.

At first, readers were redirected to a hoax story which claimed Rupert Murcoch was found dead in his garden. Visitors to the website were then redirected to the Twitter page of the group, before News International took it down.

According to News International it was ''aware'' of what was happening but made no further comment. Readers trying to access thesun.co.uk were taken to a story titled "Media mogul's body discovered" on the web site, new-times.co.uk.

The story claimed Murdoch had been found after he had "ingested a large quantity of palladium".

Later, after the site stopped working, the address of the Sun re-directed readers to LulzSec's Twitter account, which claimed to be displaying "hacked internal Sun staff data" in one entry.

In another entry,  the group said: "Arrest us. We dare you. We are the unstoppable hacking generation..."
