UK software city Sunderland to seeks investments from Bangalore

Bangalore: Delegates from Sunderland Software City, the technology research hub based in the North East of England, will be visiting Bangalore, Kerala and Chennai next week seeking investments from Indian IT firms planning to expand in Europe
The delegates plan to to visit Kerala, Chennai and Bangalore to meet prospective investors and will hold an exclusive seminar in Bangalore on growth opportunities for the IT SMEs on 16 March 2010.
Sunderland Software City, one of North East England's technology hub aims to promote the growth of the software sector in the UK.
One of the key initiatives devised by One North East and Sunderland Software City is the Soft Landing Programme, created to meet the requirements of international software companies exploring a presence in the UK and European markets.
The programme is the only one of its kind in the UK and includes an end-to-end support services such as allocation of the office space at a subsidised rent in Sunderland Software City, access to world class facilities and connectivity and intensive support for companies, business development and marketing, and recruitment.
The programme also offers professional services such as subsidiary or branch office registration, tax and accounting procedure advice, HR, legal and accountancy to expedite the operational processes. An investor can also choose to be a member of any regional or national network group for business contacts at a subsidised subscription fee.
