Aegis expands in Malaysia

Global outsourcing and technology services company Aegis Ltd has launched its third BPM centre of excellence in the district of Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia. This will help in creating more than 700 jobs.
The facility will provide a suite of BPM solutions across clientele in Malaysia, Singapore and Asia Pacific. The launch was officiated by YAB Dato' Mohamed Khaled Nordin, chief minister of Johor, Malaysia.
The centre will have an initial capacity for over 700 employees, which could be additionally expanded based on new business opportunities and growth. The new facility currently has around 550 personnel, of which 90 per cent are local workforce from Johor, Iskandar.

The company entered Malaysia in 2014 and since then has grown to over 3,000 professionals serving leading enterprises across two centres in Kuala Lumpur. Aegis Malaysia provides holistic business process management, SMAC and technology based solutions across telecom, BFSI, retail, consumer, hospitality and technology.
''Aegis Iskandar's centre of excellence will drive Iskandar Puteri to new heights with the creation of high-value knowledge-based jobs, and with 90 per cent of the jobs are being filled locally, this further demonstrates Johor's strong socioeconomic fundamentals and attractiveness as a viable investment destination,'' said Zulfiqar Zainuddin, managing director of i2M Ventures Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad dedicated to investment and promotion of Iskandar.
