Canada’s CGI in $871-mn deal with US defence agency

Canadian information technology company CGI Group Inc has signed a deal with the US Defence Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide a range of technology services valued up to $871 million over a period of five years.
In a statement yesterday, CGI Group said that its wholly-owned US subsidiary CGI Federal Inc will deliver services in the area of engineering, scientific, testing and logistics.
The services will include all support aspects for the agency's test and evaluation (T&E) mission, including the operation and maintenance of the test tools, labs, networks and infrastructure, and administrative support cells.
CGI's vice president for national security programmes Tim Hurlebaus said, "We look forward to working with DISA to enhance the operations and effectiveness of their T&E capabilities,"
"Our understanding of the DISA mission combined with the end-to-end technology and engineering expertise we deliver will help DISA support national security priorities and operations," he added.
