Glodyne Technoserve set to buy Comat Tech
10 Jun 2011
Glodyne Technoserve, a technology infrastructure management services provider, has signed a deal to acquire Comat Technologies Pvt. Ltd, the company said today.
Glodyne said it will buy Bangalore-based Comat Technologies for cash, in order to expand its presence in the rapidly growing e-governance services sector in India.
It did not disclose financial details, and added that the purchase terms were subject to completion of the certain conditions.
Comat Technologies helps state governments in India use technology in their public service programmes. It has bagged several projects related to the government's unique identification (UID or Aadhar) programme, Glodyne said in a press statement.
Through Aadhar, the government targets giving biometric identification numbers to India's 1.2 billion citizens.
''Glodyne intends to fully leverage these opportunities to continue to expand its presence in the e-governance space. The Comat acquisition will help expand its reach in new states and add several key partnerships with governments for providing citizen centric programmes,'' the release.
