Winners of CNBC-TV18 ‘CFO Awards’ to be announced next week

Busines news channel CNBC-TV18 will announce winers of the third annual 'CFO Awards'for Indian finance professionals. The awards have assumed even more significance in the year which was plagued by financial turmoil, the channekl said.
" 'CFO Awards' will honour the best minds in finance that have steered their organisations through the choppy waters of the economic downturn," it said while announcing the awards.
The awards are designed to acknowledge the changing role of the CFOs ranging from cross border M&A to business diversification from business expansion by venturing in newer markets to transforming organisations.
"Now in a tough economic scenario that has challenged the conventional rules of the game, Indian CFOs have revolutionised the financial community globally by guiding their organisations through these tough times." CNBC said.
It added, ''The best minds shine the brightest during the most turbulent times. This year's nominees for the CFO Awards have shown a great vision and resilience to weather the storm and emerge as visionaries not only for Indian but also for international financial community.''
The winners of these awards are selected through a comprehensive judging process, based on a combination of criteria including short-listing of India's best businesses using quantitative techniques; short listing of companies that were then evaluated by an esteemed jury panel.
The jury panel was headed by former State Bank of India chairman A K Purwar, currently chairman, IndiaVenture Advisors and comprised T V Mohandas Pai, global HR head, Infosys, Keki Mistry, MD, HDFC; Anil Singhvi, vice chairman, RNRL, Sumant Sinha, COO, Suzlon, Manisha Girotra, MD and chairperson, UBS, and Bharat Doshi, executive director and group CFO, Mahindra & Mahindra.
