Mumbai: The new Gucci eyewear collection presents avant-garde, sophisticated lines, complemented by unique and original details.
Included in the new styles are aviators and rectangular frames with strong silhouettes, and feminine forms with cat's-eyes contours that recall a definitive retro style. Lines that are full and highly emphasised on the acetate models become delicate and streamlined on the metal frames. Men's models have slightly oval forms with double bridges, slim metal temples and steel fronts.
Acetate and optyl are the main materials used for models with full, distinct contours while titanium often trimmed in metal or acetate is a typical choice for the more sophisticated and unusual frames.
There
is an extensive range of original colours available
for this collection. Acetate is played out mainly in
dark, mysterious shades of black, burnt brown, burgundy,
smoky blue and dark grey, then moves into the glossier
shades of sage, rose-tinted brown, horn, mauve and olive
green. Optyl models, on the other hand, bear mirrored
effects in shades of brown, violet and burgundy, while
the palette of colours for the metal models leans toward
classic ruthenium, yellow gold and palladium.
Gucci
eyewear is priced at Rs4,200 to Rs12,500 and is available
at all leading opticians and at multi brand outlets.
