Delhi:
Indian Oil Corporation and JK Tyre (listed as the
Indian 'Super brand' tyre manufacturer by the UK-based
brand ranking organisation, SuperBrands Ltd,) have
joined hands to provide value-added services to their
respective customer bases. M S Ramachandran, chairman,
Indian Oil, and Raghupati Singhania, vice chairman
and managing director, JK Industries Ltd., signed
a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi yesterday
to mark the formal launch of the joint customer loyalty
programme.
Indian Oil's customer loyalty programme includes two
card-based offerings, Xtra Power and Xtra Rewards,
for its retail customers. The 'Xtra Power fleet card'
programme offers complete logistics services to fleet
owners, cashless transactions, free personal accident
insurance for the owner and the vehicle crew, in addition
to the reward points linked to the fuel purchases,
free basic tracking and optional real time tracking
at a subsidised rate.
With
the signing of the MoU, the Xtra Power customers will
earn reward points every time they purchase JK tyres,
tubes and flaps, which can be redeemed for fuel, gifts
and other value-added services. Services like repair,
re-treading, alignment, balancing, etc, at JK iruck
radial service centers located across the golden quadrilateral
and key trucking centers across the country will be
made available to these customers at a special price.
Similarly, customers with Xtra Reward Card will now
get a special discount on value-added services like
computerised wheel alignment and wheel balancing,
automated tyre fitment, tyre care information from
experts, etc. at 'JK Tyre Steel Wheels' outlets. Synergies
in other areas of common interest will be leveraged
from time to time.
In
the past too, the two market leaders have worked hand
in hand to enhance the quality of services enjoyed
by the end consumer. JK Tyre had installed digital
inflator gauges at select Indian Oil petrol and diesel
stations.
