The programme will try and educate, and inform and create awareness among the investing public.
Investor education and training have been one of the most critical areas that demand attention and response from all major participants in the capital market. The BSE has been in the forefront in providing investor education and training. The agenda is to not only educate the vast investor community but also to increase the number of investors.
Zee News, India's first premier Hindi new channel provides an ideal platform to carry this message to the nook and cranny of the country. Apart from having the largest viewership in India, Zee News is also watched in 79 countries across the globe.
Talking Stock is designed to educate the viewer and bring him closer to the capital market. Each episode will begin with the market movements of the past week. The aim is not just to academically list the gainers and losers of the week but also to relate the movements to events that could have influenced the change.
Post this, the serial will deal with various aspects relating to the capital market. Sample some: primary markets, secondary markets, investment procedures, clearing and settlement procedures, risk management, debt markets, mutual funds, dematerialisation and depositories, fundamental and technical analysis, derivatives, investor grievances and redressal system, corporate governance and global markets.
Experts from the respective fields will address the intricacies involved in all the above issues. Each episode will have a quiz and invite queries from viewers. An expert pane-list will address the queries.
