Nifty ends above 5200; ADAG stks surge 10-30 per cent in 2 days

It was a quiet session for the markets as benchmark indices consolidated on the back of nearly 2% rally on Monday. However, the NSE 50-share Nifty managed to close above 5200-mark amid low volatility.
The Sensex shut shop at 17412.83 up 74.66 points or 0.43% and the Nifty closed at 5222.35 up 24.65 points or 0.47%. About 1706 shares advanced, 1273 shares declined, and 332 shares remain unchanged.
Heavy buying was seen in realty and FMCG stocks in last one hour of trade. Metal, power and capital goods stocks also saw good buying. Selling pressure was seen in IT, oil&gas and auto stocks.
The broader markets too posted gains in today's trade. BSE Midcap and Smallcap index were up 0.3% and 0.8% respectively.
In the largecap space, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Communications, DLF, Sterlite Industries, Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Infra rallied 2-5%. On the losing side, BPCL, ONGC, TCS, Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki and Cipla lost 1-6%.
Reliance stocks continued to be in limelight and rallied for second consecutive day. ADAG stocks have rallied anywhere in the range of 10-30% in last two trading sessions. RNRL gained close to 30% and recouped entire losses post judgement of Supreme Court last month.
