Nikon launches Coolpix P6000 digital camera

Mumbai: Leading digital camera maker Nikon has launched the Coolpix P6000, which can be operated ona dual mode of auto and manual providing flexibility for professional photography.

Features include a 2.7 inch LCD, 13.5 megapixel resolution, a 4x zoom lens (28-112mm), VR (vibration reduction), optional GPS support, network transfer support and hotshoe flash support. The GPS capability automatically geo tags the location along with the image which can be uploaded and later viewed based on location.

Nikon Coolpix P6000For greater control a D-SLR dial can be used to adjust the camera in different light conditions. The camera weighs around 250g and has an internal memory of 48 MB. The Lithium-ion battery is capable of delivering 260 shots after charging.

The camera features the new EXPEED Image processing technology that ensures sharpness and great picture quality. It also features a shooting menu for quick access to regularly used selections and an efficient new tabbed menu interface.

The camera is scheduled to hit the market later this year and likely to be priced above Rs20,000.
