Dishtv appoints Salil Kapoor as the chief operating officer

New Delhi: Zee group owned, India's largest direct-to-home (DTH) entertainment company, Dishtv has appointed Salil Kapoor as its chief operating officer (COO). Kapoor takes charge today and will be based in the company's head quarters at Noida.

Kapoor has vast and valuable experience of over 17 years spanning information technology, consumer durable and engineering industries in leading organisations across the country.

Before joining Dish TV, he was the national sales head,  Samsung Electronics Limited and was responsible for consumer electronics revenue and sales operations across 50 branches. He was also leading the senior level multi disciplinary teams and was a key contributor to strategic management decisions in sales / marketing / channel policy related and non related areas such as manpower, investments, information systems etc. He is acknowledged for building a successful track record of leading highly result oriented and motivated multidisciplinary teams in rapidly growing companies.

An alumnus of Delhi University, – MBA, FMS, and of Bangalore University – BE Mechanical, Kapoor shas been associated with corporate giants such as LG Electronics, Microsoft India, Fedders Lloyd, Blue Star Limited, etc.

Kapoor has also worked on special initiatives such as e-commerce, dealing with advertising, media buying and direct marketing agencies and implementation of sports marketing activities etc and reached a new level of success.
