India Broadcasting Foundation finds new president in Star India CEO, Uday Shankar

The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) has appointed Uday Shankar, CEO, Star India, as president. He succeeds Jawahar Goel, who had held the post for four years.

Goel will continue on board of the IBF.

G Krishnan, CEO, TV Today is the new vice president while Sunil Lulla, CEO, Times Television Network is the treasurer.

The appointments were announced at the 58th board of directors meet held on 3 September, 2010 in Hyderabad.

The board also co-opted Markand Adhikari, vice chairman and managing director, Shri Adhikari Bros, Siddharth Jain, vice president, South Asia, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd. and Sameer Nair, CEO, Turner General Entertainment Networks into the board.

Others members include Man Jit Singh, CEO, Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd, Rajat Sharma, chairman, India TV amongst others.
