Neville Taraporewalla to join Microsoft Advertising

Neville Taraporewalla, CEO and online media director, Asia-Pacific, Publicitas Digital, will join Microsoft Advertising. Prior to joining Publicitas Digital in March 2007, Taraporewalla was managing director and chief executive officer, digital agency Connecturf.
Taraporewalla will head the 'advertiser and publisher solutions (APS) group of Microsoft Advertising in India.
The APS Group was launched in 2007 by Microsoft Corporation to look after the development of various advertising platforms and marketing the same to advertisers and publishers. The group handles ad platforms such as AdCenter, the search marketing solution of Microsoft; DrivePM, a pay for performance based ad network and Atlas, an ad serving technology for online publishers.
Taraporewalla has more than 23 years of experience across sectors such as media publishing, entertainment and digital media.
He was with Yahoo! India as country general manager also.
Taraporewalla has also worked with Mid-Day, where he set up the digital arm of the group. He was also associated with publication groups such as The Times of India Group in India and the Khaleej Times Group in West Asia.
At The Times of India, Taraporewalla was responsible for setting up the new media and interactive division of The Times of India and was involved in the launch of Timesofindia.com and Economictimes.com.
