Birla is 'Outstanding Businessman of the Year'
Mumbai: Kumarmangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla group, was presented with the outstanding businessman of the year award by the National HRD (NHRD) Networks at the international conference which concluded on September 9.
Anu Aga, chairperson of the Thermax group, who presented the award to K M Birla, said, Kumarmangalam Birla is a man of great vision. He has initiated several proactive steps to ensure the groups consolidation process. He has taken many forward initiatives, which are the hallmarks of great business. The implementation of pathbreaking HR processes has made the group a front-runner.
In his address, K M Birla highlighted the role of the HR industrys ever-changing business environment. He stressed the current epidemic of the white-collared angst faced by todays professionals and pointed out, HRs biggest challenge today is to get the right talent and urged business leaders to put this on their list of top priorities.
