Ontario appoints new marketing head in India

Ontario's ministry of economic development and trade has announced the appointment of Aaron Rosland as senior economic officer of its international marketing centre (IMC) in India.
Based out of the Canadian high commission in New Delhi, Rosland will head the marketing operations for the IMC, which facilitates bi-lateral trade and investment between India and Ontario.
Prior to this assignment, Rosland worked with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges starting and managing offices in India and the UK.
He was also responsible for expanding operations into the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
''The IMC is here to ensure that bilateral trade and investment between Ontario and India continues to grow by increasing awareness, introducing opportunities and inspiring action,'' Rosland said.
In previous roles with the Canadian government, Rosland helped Canadian companies recruit international employees, was the investment attraction lead for Asia and was trade director, USA.
He was also selected by the US government to participate in their international visitor leadership programme.
Rosland has a MBA (International Business) degree from the University of Alberta and a certificate in economic development from the University of Waterloo.
