Otis India appoints Laurent Bruyère as MD

Mumbai: Laurent Bruyère has been appointed as managing director, Otis India, tasked with providing overall leadership and strategic direction including establishing joint ventures and developing innovative products for the real estate market.
A 25-year Otis veteran, Bruyère began his career with the Otis Elevator Company in 1985 with Otis France. He grew to become the regional general manager of western France in 2001 and in 2005, he was named as regional director of Otis Switzerland.
In 2006 he was promoted to managing director for Otis Switzerland. He joined Otis India in February 2010 as managing director, heading its operations that included new equipment, modernisation, service and manufacturing functions.
Bruyère holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Ecole d'Ingenieur de l'Innovation de l'Energie et des Technologies Avancees {ESME-Sudria} in Paris.
