Two Indian-Americans in Forbes rich list

Mumbai: Google Inc founder-director Kavitark Ram Shriram and Bose Corporation chairman Amar Gopal Bose have moved up the rankings in the Forbes 400 Richest Americans list.

Both Bose and Shriram, worth $1.5 billion each, have tied at the 242nd position in the list and are ahead of eBay president and CEO Margaret C Whitman, Starbucks chairman Howard S Schultz and Hilton Hotel chairman William Barron Hilton.

The two are also ahead of Rober William Galvin of telecom giant Motorola, Robert Drayton McLane Jr of retail giant Wal-Mart and Roy Edward Disney of Walt Disney.

Bose and Shriram, now US citizens, had entered the Forbes rich list five years ago and were ranked 283 and 258 respectively in 2005. The networth of Shriram and Bose have grown to 1.5 billion dollars each from 1.3 billion and 1.2 billion dollars respectively.
