E V Ramana Reddy appointed new IT secretary of Karnataka

Bangalore: E V Ramana Reddy, commissioner of agriculture department, Karnataka government, and former IT director, has been given the additional charge as secretary, information technology.

An official order to this effect has been released. This was confirmed by Karnataka IT and Tourism Minister D B Indamdar. "He has taken the additional charge as IT secretary."

The appointment comes after Vivek Kulkarni, earlier IT and biotechnology secretary, opted for voluntary retirement scheme (See Midas man). Kulkarni put in his papers on 1 October, citing personal reasons.
