New Delhi: Indian low-cost carrier, SpiceJet, said it expects to make a total loss of Rs80-100 crore in the current fiscal, up from Rs70 crore in the previous year, mainly on account of higher aviation turbine fuel prices.

SpiceJet CEO, Sidhant Sharma, said the airline will also reduce its daily flights to 100 per day, down from 117 at present, in order to curtail losses.

Sharma said the break even point for the airline has also been pushed ahead by a year, to March 2010, from the projected date of March 2009.
