Leading Indian airline Jet Airways on Friday announced a reciprocal frequent flyer partnership with US Airways that will help the privileged members of both the airlines to earn and redeem points while they travel on each other's global network.
"With this partnership, Jet will be able to offer guests seamless travel from India through US Airways' hubs at Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington DC and onwards to over 200 destinations in north, central and south America," Jet Airways chief commercial officer Sudheer Raghavan said in a statement from Mumbai.
This would also help Jet Airways enhance its connectivity and reach in the American markets, he added.
US Airways, along with US Airways Shuttle and US Airways Express, operates over 3,200 flights every day across 200 destinations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Central and South America.
This is the second reciprocal agreement by India's premier airline with North American airlines in recent weeks. Last month, Jet entered into a sharing agreement with Air Canada,Heathrow Airport as the transfer Jet flights for Mumbai.
"Effective today, JetPrivilege members will now be able to earn and redeem JPMiles while they travel on the entire global network of US Airways,'' Jet said.
The reciprocal frequent flyer partnership will allow US Airways 'dividend miles' members to be able to earn and redeem their miles on the entire network of Jet Airways.
