Air India Express selects Ameco Beijing for Boeing 737 overhaul

Ameco Beijing (Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corporation), located at Beijing Capital International Airport, has signed an overhaul agreement with Air India Express (AIE) to conduct 'C' Checks on nine Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Air India Express.
AIE said the first aircraft will be delivered to the facility of Ameco Beijing in mid-September.
It will be for the first time that Ameco Beijing will perform airframe overhaul service on a Boeing 737 NG aircraft for any Indian customer.
Earlier, Ameco Beijing has provided airframe overhaul service for Air India.
Aaccording to Teng Bin, regional director, international sales, the all-around MRO strength of the company was the reason for its selection.
Ameco Beijing is a 60:40 joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa and provides engine overhaul on Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney products. It offers repair and overhaul services for nearly 10,000 components including landing gears, wheels and brakes, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and avionics/electrics.
It also offers aircraft painting, engineering, technical training and logistics services, as well as equipment calibration and repair.
Located in Beijing Capital International Airport, Ameco also offers services in training, engineering and logistics for China's entire aviation industry.
