The Mondeo is very much a Ford car, with its familiar front grille, prominent wheel arches and distinctive headlights. This isn’t all. It is also an ergonomically superb car with controls and switches available in the right places. The seating arrangements are very comfortable with the front seats soft and cozy.
Electrically adjustable seat and steering wheel ensures comfort to the driver. The Mondeo is packed with gizmos and gadgets such as in-dash 6 CD changer, front fog lamps, smart alloys and power windows. The safety box is well geared to contain a full set of ticks with eight airbags and has the ABS standard.
The two variants available are the Ghia Petrol and the Ghia Diesel. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0-litre engine. Both variants are capable of producing speed beyond 200 kmph. The Mondeo petrol version gives an average of 7.9 kms per litre in the city and 11.2 kms on the highway. The diesel version is more fuel-efficient.
