Godrej Group to leverage aerospace expertise for innovative products

Mumbai: The Godrej Group has said it will leverage its expertise in the aerospace sector to produce consumer appliances, advanced security systems and durables. The Godrej Group has developed aerospace manufacturing capabilities and is a contributor to the Indian space programme led by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

According to a press note, the Group has set up a system through which the aerospace division will utilise its expertise in precision engineering and manufacturing to deliver modern innovations.

"Creating better products depends heavily on a stronger appreciation of the technology needed to manufacture more durable, better quality products that require a higher degree of precision and scientific expertise," Godrej & Boyce, precision component systems (PCS) division, vice-president and business head, SM Vaidya said.

Godrej Aerospace manufactures rocket engines, thrusters and various satellite systems to ISRO specifications.
