HCL's new Leaptop Series 39 is designed and tested exclusively for the Indian climate.

The `Leaptop 39' series, a part of it's 'Design for India' strategy, utilises HCL's three decades of expertise in the computer market and consumer feedback to launch new series. Leaptop Series 39, particularly suits the Indian market and climatic condition.

With lower temperature difference across the surface, a battery back-up of more than four hours and a 14.1" wide screen, the Leaptop is powered by Intel's Centrino and Centrino2 processor technology and optimised to reduce power consumption.

Complying with the Energy Star 4.0 Category A certification, it consumes less than 1.7 W energy in sleep mode and 1W in stand-by mode and costs Rs39, 900 for the Centrino model and Rs42, 990 for the Centrino2 model. It is available in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
