Adobe and Wipro in global alliance

Mumbai: Adobe Systems Incorporated and Wipro Technologies, have entered into a strategic global alliance, under which Wipro will offer customisation and integration services for Adobe Server products as part of their enterprise solution offerings to customers world-wide. Wipro will address the document generation, collaboration and process management requirements that organisations face as they move paper-based processes online.

The alliance will also enable the two IT leaders to leverage each other's expertise. Over time, Adobe and Wipro will build new "repeatable" document solutions targeted at vertical markets, such as financial services, healthcare and government that can be applied to solving document integration problems.

"Their global presence and customer-base, expertise in industry verticals, integration skills in the enterprise space and cost-effective services model creates compelling value to our customers and helps them exploit Adobe's product and technological strengths."

As part of the alliance, Wipro announced the creation of an Adobe centre of excellence (ACoE). The Adobe CoE is dedicated to Adobe e-paper technologies and will include highly trained specialists focused on creating solutions based on Adobe's enterprise offerings. It will also provide Wipro with the ability to support extended project teams and rapidly scale resources based on market requirements.

According to Divakaran Mangalath, chief technology officer, Wipro Technologies, , "This alliance allows us to exploit the value proposition of the PDF platform, the technology of Adobe's enterprise products, and the ubiquity of the Adobe Reader to deliver unique document life-cycle solutions for our customers. Together with the existing and proven solution delivery strengths of Wipro, this would give customers end-to-end integration of their day-to-day user-facing documents with their business transactions, yielding solutions that transform business processes, enhance productivity and lower integration costs."
