Amazon plans to debut its Prime membership service in India next month, according to a tech blog that obtained the information by looking at the source code of the Amazon India website.

According to the blog, Maktech, the source code revealed that the Prime service would have a dedicated landing page at amazon.in/gp/prime that was yet to be activated.

With Amazon Prime the company would get a significant boost to take on rival Flipkart in the market.

The service will allow users to pay a fixed amount in a year and, in India, it will allow such users to get guaranteed delivery in two days. Additionally, Plus will deliver lots of items free with no minimum order size.

In the US, users also get exclusive access to movies and TV shows, ad-free music, unlimited photo storage and Kindle books with Prime membership.

Amazon is also in talks with a number of leading content creators to support Prime services in India, the Times of India reported citing sources.
