An AC you can operate from your mobile phone

Mumbai: Believe it or not, on a hot day you can now come home to a cool house. Electrolux India''s futuristic Teleconnect Air Conditioner can be operated from anywhere outside the home, through a landline phone, WLL mobile, CDMA mobile, GSM mobile and even through EPABX!

The Teleconnect air conditioner has remote monitoring and self-diagnosis functions. It has digital temperature setting that allows users to set the temperature and mode by merely pressing the keys on a mobile handset or touchtone landline. The AC diagnoses the best fan speed required, for optimum cooling at the lowest power consumption.

The telecontroller automatically switches to power saving mode after eight seconds of no operation and all LEDs are switched off. It returns to operation when any key is pressed. It has password protection to prevent misuse. The new 1.5-ton air conditioner is competitively priced at Rs27,900.
