Andhra Bank becomes RTGS compatible

Hyderabad: Andhra Bank has announced that it has started live operations with Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system, the online funds transfer service, as a part of the guidelines and framework of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
In a press release, the bank said it is now offering the RTGS through 66 branches across the country. Based on demand, the bank plans to add more branches to RTGS.
Andhra Bank said it has computerised all its branches across the country. It intends to extend RTGS as a value added service to its customers from all its networked branches, the release said.
