Apple and US cable operator Comcast are in talks about a streaming TV service, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The report cited people familiar with the matter as saying, that the talks were at an early stage with the partners not close to an agreement.

According to sources, Comcast would need significant investments in network equipment and other back-office technology to support the service, with Apple reportedly requiring customers to sign in user Apple login IDs and a share of monthly subscription fees.
