Audi India launches new Audi A6

03 Aug 2011

Audi India today launched the all new Audi A6 in the country, priced at Rs 37.7 lakh for the base 2.0 TDI version, ex-showroom Delhi. The premium sedan was launched at a media event at Gurgaon.

The base petrol variant, 2.8 FSI would carry a price tag of Rs39.9 lakh while the 3.0 litre TFSI petrol would be priced Rs47 lakh, and the top- of- the- line diesel variant, 3.0 TDI Quattro would be priced Rs 46.95 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

As compared to rival models with Mercedes-Benz and BMW, the new Audi A6 is priced pretty competitively.

According to experts, the new Audi A6 scores on its predecessor on many fronts. The new design has a quality that makes it stand out thanks to the extra aggressive cues adopted by the designers at Audi.

The front end is dominated by the six-sided Audi corporate grille set out by sharper and meaner headlights with integrated LEDs.

Designers have been able to keep the weight of the car down thanks to the aluminum hybrid construction. At the rear of the car, the tail lights have been redesigned with a U-shaped LED stop lamp integrated into the rear light.
