Mumbai: Audi India is expected to launch its new import A4 model in India this July. The company is looking at offering CKD (complete knock down) version price for the new model car.
Audi India is a subsidiary of the German luxury carmaker, Audi. The price of the new imported A4 models will be the same as the CKD version to avoid having different prices for the same model. The company will start assembling it at its Aurangabad plant, later this year.
"We want to launch all new products in the Indian market as soon as they are globally launched," said Benoit Tiers, managing director, Audi India. "With the luxury car sales growing at an estimated 50 per cent each year in India, the company is hopeful of crossing the sales target of 3,000 units by the year 2010," he added.
The company opened its showroom in Hyderabad on Friday. Along with the existing seven dealerships (including Hyderabad), the company plans to open new dealership showrooms in Chennai and Kolkata next month.
