Bajaj sells 50,000 Pulsar 135LS in 75 days

Mumbai: Two-wheeler maker Bajaj Automobiles says its latest offering in the sports segment, the Pulsar 135LS,  has sold a record 50,000 units sold in its first 75 days since launch.

"This is a new volume benchmark for any performance bike launch in this country," the company said in a meadia communique.

The Pulsar 135LS (light sports) is a 'first of its kind' bike in the country, incorporating the first ever first 4-valve DTS-i on a two-wheeler, billed as the only light sports bike in India, priced at Rs.51,000, ex-showroom Delhi.

Bajaj says the new bike has the fastest acceleration and highest top speed in its category.

The Pulsar 135LS is powered with a state of the art 4-valve DTS-i engine delivering 13.5 Ps power. The sporty split-seat, aluminum clip-on handlebars and a host of other features this 135cc Pulsar delivers a power-packed performance.

The light kerb weight of only 122 kg gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 110.6 Ps/tonne.
