BenQ launches optical mice; to offer keyboard as a package

Mumbai: BenQ India has entered the mice market with the launch of its range of optical and mechanical mice. This heralds its enhanced presence in the segment of input devices.

Says BenQ India managing director Tashi Gelek: “With the launch of mice, we will be able to leverage the gains made in the keyboard segment and utilise this effectively for penetration.”

BenQ also plans to introduce a scheme where it will be bundling an optical mouse along with the keyboard as a package. This step is in a bid to consolidate on its strong position in the keyboard segment and extend the existing range of products.

BenQ has been able to penetrate the nook and corner of India with its keyboards that has also gained good market acceptance across channels and the end-user for the superior quality, reliability and value for money proposition.

The range currently comprises an entry level PS2/AT keyboard [model 6511 VA] and three keyboards in the multimedia segment that includes an entry level [model 6511 VM], a high-end keyboard with knob [model 6511 UP] and an Internet keyboard, 6511 X. BenQ proposes to offer an optical mouse [model M100] along with the multimedia keyboards.
