BSNL comes out with Rs99 unlimited call and limited data offer for 28 days

17 Dec 2016

State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Friday announced an unlimited calls offer for its pre-paid customers along with limited free data usage for just Rs99.

While BSNL has come out with such offers before, the latest offer of Rs99 is considered the cheapest offer so far by any telecom service provider in the country.

Ever since the advent of Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio and its Welcome Offer of free unlimited 4G data, voice and video calls, telecom operators in the country, including Vodafone, Airtel and Idea, have been coming up cheaper rate offers.

Under the latest BSNL offer, customers can make unlimited local and STD BSNL to BSNL calls for a period of 28 days. It also comes with 300 BM of data.

"BSNL has introduced unlimited local and STD BSNL to BSNL with 300 MB data for only Rs 99 with validity of 28 days for its prepaid mobile customers," the company said in a statement.

The rate will be applicable in Kolkata TD, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Gujrat, MP, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra and Rajasthan for within network calls.

However, in other circles the same offer will vary from Rs119 to Rs149, the company said.

BSNL also introduced new combo STV with Unlimited local and STD BSNL to any network with 1GB data for only Rs339 with validity of 28 days on pan-India basis.
