State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has come out with a plan offering 1 GB of data per day and unlimited voice calls for 90 days for Rs429 on pre-paid mobile services.

The plan, which will give free voice (local/STD) on any network and 90 GB data (1 GB per day) for 90 days on pan-India basis will, however, not be available for  the  Kerala Circle, according to a BSNL statement issued on Tuesday.

The monthly cost of the pack works out to Rs143, which makes it one of the most competitive plans currently available in the market.

"This voice and data centric plan is available for Rs429, that is, Rs143 per month which gives unlimited voice (local / STD) on any net and 90 GB data (at 1 GB per day) for 90 days, which is the most competitive plan in present market scenario," RK Mittal, director (consumer mobility) BSNL board, said.

Market leader Airtel recently introduced its Rs149 plan which will offer users unlimited Airtel to Airtel calls and 2GB 4G data valid for duration of 28 days.

BSNL had previously introduced a pack known as Sixer 666, which offered users 2GB of 3G data per day for 60 days, on a total of 120GB data. Further, users get unlimited voice calls to any network as well. It had also introduced Rs786 and Rs599 plans for prepaid customers along with some interesting full talk recharges on top of these packs with some added incentives.

To start with Rs786 pack, users will get 3GB of data along with a balance of Rs786 for 90 days. However, the balance could be used for voice calls only. Users will not be able to use this balance for sending SMSs or for data usage, once the bundled data is finished.

The Rs599 plan offers Rs507 main credit and an extra Rs279 credit exclusive to voice calls only, making a total sum of Rs786 with a 30-day validity period. Users will also get 10 on-net SMSs on the BSNL network, but no data benefits.
