Capgemini announces expansion of India operations in Mumbai

Mumbai: Capgemini, among the foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced the launch of its third facility in Mumbai. Located in Vikhroli, a suburb of Mumbai the where the first two sites are also situated, this 60,000 sq. ft premise will provide technology and outsourcing services to clients globally.

Capgemini India has grown rapidly scaling up it manpower by more than 600 per cent from 400 people in early 2003 to around 2500 today and pr3edicts high speed growth in the coming quarters. Capgemini India's policy is to build additional capacity on demand. This new facility is a step further in expansion after the opening of Bangalore centre in last October. With this new step, its India offshore capacity will cross 3,000 seats.

 In India to launch the facility, Nicolas Dufourcq, CFO, Capgemini said, "India is core to Capgemini Group strategy.
