Capgemini finalises acquisition of multi-channel services operator Prosodie

30 Jul 2011

Consulting, technology and outsourcing services provider Capgemini yesterday said that it has now finalised its acquisition of multi-channel services operator Prosodie. Capgemini had announced the transaction on 14 June.

It said in a statement that it had completed the process of informing and consulting with employee representatives, and received the approval of the French competition authorities.

The transaction, based on an enterprise value of €382 million, is being financed in cash from the Group's net cash balance and will enable Capgemini to enter the high-value-added front office transaction solutions market.

Prosodie will form part of Capgemini's new business model (NBM) service line, the aim of which is to develop services based on proprietary solutions invoiced on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Prosodie proposes to its clients all-in-one, innovative solutions covering all aspects of the multi-channel client relationship and prepayment – both areas in which the company is the leader in France – as well as the payment and hosting of services that are highly secure and available 24/7.

Prosodie is present in France, Spain, and, more recently, in Belgium and Italy. In 2010, it reported consolidated revenues of €172.3 million and a 15.9 per cent operating margin (EBIT).
